So I really want to start a comedy club at my school. But I don't know how good of an idea it'll be. At my school you can make your own clubs and stuff, but you need an advisor and more importantly, a structured plan. Which is what I need to make for next year if this club is gonna fly. But before I worry about that, I want to know if it's a good idea. So opinions please!?
I'll explain how my comedy club will work. Okay, I'd want to focus on writing AND performing comedy. So I'd want club members to help us come up with funny ideas and scripts. The meetings would probably consist of us brainstorming ideas and stuff. I'd want every club member to keep their own journals too, and write down ideas they had for the week. Then we'd also focus on performing comedy too. That means once we write a few sketches we'd practice and perform them. And we could also recreate sketches seen on SNL (<3) that aren't highly inappropriate, if that's not illegal or something. Either, perform them for school for an audience, or maybe put them on Youtube and start our own little comedy troupe account. Also, I love writing parodies to songs, so we could make music videos too. But we'd need help from AV Club to film anything. And finally, I think if there is anyone in the club interested in performing stand-up comedy, we could arrange performances for that too, which would be really fun.
I'm excited. But I don't want to get involved in starting this club if it's a dumb idea or something. I might be blinded by excitement. So tell me, is it a realistic club? I mean, come on, my school has Gourmet Cooking Club and Princess Club, so I hope Comedy Club would be at least a little respectable.
Also, I typed this post really super fast but I'm too lazy to reread it and check for any big mistakes. Haha, so sorry if I have some awful grammatical errors or something. ((:

Community Theaters
I often visit this website... http://www.octaweb.org/OCTAPageSP.asp?pg=6 ...to find auditions in my area. But there are a lot of theaters that don't audition young adults, so I'm making my own list here of the ones that do. Sorry this post is so boring! It's for me, kind of like a database. It's just so I can find auditions faster (:

Blog Hunting.
I love just searching random stuff and finding blogs about interesting topics. So that's what I've been up to. I just found one where a guy in chronicling his quest to complete a list of things to do before he dies. Now I'm finding all these other ones with similar topics. It makes me sad because it reminds me of my old blog. I should have kept it! But I'd always end up deleting it anyway. In case you didn't know, I had this blog on the side, where I had a list of things to do before I die. It was pretty sweet. But then it was taking so long for me to do anything because I'm a minor, and I can't just run off and get a tattoo to check something off a list. Blahhh. Maybe I'll resurrect it?

RENT the broadway musical.
If you haven't heard, RENT just began a new tour starring two original cast members, Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. It started January 5th, and it just so happens that it launched in Cleveland, Ohio at Playhouse Sqaure. So of course I had to go.
Let me just say, if it's coming to your town... GO SEE IT. It was amazing. And if you're familiar with the musical, it'll be even better. This probably will be the last tour Adam and Anthony ever do together, so it's a once in a lifetime chance.
It's definitly worth whatever you have to pay. My friends and I bought 30 dollar tickets. We were really super far away and really super high up, but I was just relieved that no one's fat head got in my way. The music was loud and clear though, and I could still see what was going on. You just can't make out faces and stuff from up there in the nosebleeds. (:
If I was a critic I'd give it five out of five stars!
The only dissapointment was no Idina. But I wasn't expecting her to be there. And having two of the other main cast members there made up for her absense.
Oh yeah, and I almost peed my pants when I read in the pamphlet that one of the smaller parts went to a guy from the Chicago Company that I saw in Wicked. I love connections.

So supposedly I've found a way to make money without getting a real job. (Don't worry, I'm not going to be a complete bum. I'm still looking for a part time job.) Anyway, there is this website called Cash Crate. You just do websites and stuff. But people swear on their lives by it. Click this link to visit it... http://cashcrate.com/1003455 ...and tell me if you think it's legit?

Coolest Jobs Ever.
So my mom is obsessed with this one website called www.coolworks.com. Since I've been looking for employment recently, I decided to check out all of my options. Coolworks is really awesome, because it doesn't just give options in your area, but it gives you options to work all over the USA. Seriously, it's sweet. Like some jobs are summer camp counsling, and you get to stay there for free, and you get paid. They also have volunteering projects in countries abroad, and internships all around the world. So that's what I'm looking at right now. And I just thought I'd let everyone know about it, in case they are interested! Check it out! Happy Thursday =]

They took down the actual video to it, which kind of sucks. So that was the lyrical version.
